Industrial Design Matt MeurerMatt Meurer was a Daedalus Industrial and User Experience Designer, and joined Daedalus in May of 2012. Before joining Daedalus, Matt researched the emotional connections that users have to physical environments and digital interfaces while with Fathom. Prior to that he designed face-to-face marketing exhibits and environments for Derse Inc., where he brought brands to life while meeting the desires of the user in those environments. The exhibits and environments he has designed cross several industries including imaging and photography, construction, pharmaceutical and even the home pet market. Matt also created way-finding systems for corporate and medical clients with Kolano Design, and was a member of the design and fabrication team for the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh during their award-winning expansion project.

Matt received his BFA in Industrial Design from Carnegie Mellon University, with a minor in Photography and Digital Imaging. Though a native of Cincinnati, he now considers Pittsburgh to be his home. In his spare time, Matt trains for marathons and other races and travels across the country to run. He enjoys spending time with his wife and son, capturing life’s moments through the lens of the camera.
