news_48_1Patrick Sweeney was a Daedalus Electrical Engineer who joined the firm in October 2011. Prior to joining Daedalus, Pat worked at Carnegie Mellon University’s Cylab, the largest university-based cybersecurity research and education institute in the US, where he developed image and video analysis techniques for security and forensic analysis. He previously worked at Analog Devices in Limerick, Ireland, as a co-op, developing component test procedures for Digital to Analogue converters, while studying at the University of Limerick.

Originally from Galway in Ireland, Pat grew up on a farm in a predominantly rural area, leading to his enjoyment of outdoor pursuits including hiking and fishing. Pat is active in hurling, the national sport of Ireland, and is currently the Pittsburgh Hurling Club secretary.
