Tim Fletcher,  Business Development Manager, DaedalusTim Fletcher, FIDSA, joined Daedalus as Business Development Manager in November of 2009. Previously he taught Industrial Design and Design Thinking at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His background in design and new product development spans both large and small corporations as well as consulting. Prior to teaching, Tim worked in the consumer and commercial electronics, infant products and sporting goods industries. He has been working with manufacturers and clients in Asia since 1989. He holds 14 design patents and 4 utility patents in the US and Europe.

Tim has been a member of the Industrial Designers Society of America since 1989, and in 2009 was inducted into the IDSA Academy of Fellows. He currently holds the appointed position of US Government Liaison Officer, for which he works to build relations between the US Government and the ID profession. He has previously been appointed to the position of International Liaison Officer – Asia, building bridges between IDSA and industrial design in Asia, and has previously been elected to the Board of Directors and the positions of Chapter VP, Southern District VP and Carolina Chapter Chair.

Tim received his Bachelor of Environment Design from North Carolina State University in 1989 and his Masters of Design (Advanced Strategies) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2008.
